Quotations

I just discovered G.K. Chesterton, his quotations really resonate with me, I also found his biography fascinating.
Here are a few quotations that tickled my fancy:

There is no such thing on earth as an uninteresting subject; the only thing that can exist is an uninterested person.

Fallacies do not cease to be fallacies because they become fashions.

I believe in getting into hot water; it keeps you clean.

If there were no God, there would be no Atheists.

It is not bigotry to be certain we are right; but it is bigotry to be unable to imagine how we might possibly have gone wrong.

The Bible tells us to love our neighbors, and also to love our enemies; probably because they are generally the same people.

And my favorite:

Poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese.

I am a middle-aged wife and mother who works full-time managing our auto repair business. Life is not always easy and most often it's exhausting. In spite (or because) of, various hardships, I have learned that "The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord" Lamentations 3:25-26
